Pilates is an exercise system focused on increasing strength, flexibility, balance, and overall body awareness. The method consists of a series of controlled movements performed on the floor or on specially designed Pilates machines, such as Pilates Chairs and Reformers. The movements concentrate on improving core muscle strength and spinal alignment. During classes, instructors prompt students to focus on breathing and muscle contraction. All sessions are lead by a professionally trained instructor.
